What is unauthorized access and what are its consequences?
Internet provider Briz has clear rules that must be followed for the correct operation of the network. In case of detection of unauthorised access attempts, such as
- changing the connection parameters;
- use of third-party hardware without permission;
- use of prohibited protocols;
the provider has the right to restrict access or terminate the contract unilaterally.
Prohibited protocols and programs:
- IPX, PIM (Protocol Independent Multicast), NetBIOS (NetBEUI) over IP (ports 135, 137, 138, 139, 445) due to the possibility of using them for virus attacks and hacking.
- SMTP (port 25) for all dynamic IPs is blocked to prevent spamming and blacklisting of IP addresses. However, purchasing a Dedicated IP on a permanent basis will allow you to use it.
- Traffic and network scanning software, as well as broadcasting software. They pose a security risk and can be used for hacking.
